Looking for advice

Buddy has a 2003 CSC trike that will only start in neutral. We have replaced the switches and the clutch bushing. Even tested the new switches with an ohm meter. Guessing we will need to start tracing out a wiring fault. Any advice?

When you say switches replaced, which switches did you actually replace?

Did you check the kickstand switch? Understand it's a Trike, but not sure how CSC disables it.....probably jumpers across the switch.

As you may know there are two micro-switches on the clutch side. One is for cruise control cancelling and the other in for starting in gear. We replaced both since they are cheap. Also tested afterwards with an ohm meter. We were thinking if it were the kickstand switch the kickstand light would light up on the dash. We did inspect the kickstand switch. But that's about it. CSC tapes the kickstand switch in place and then tucks it in out of the way.

Side-stand switch actually has two different circuits. One normally-open (for the light) and one normally closed (start in gear lockout).

Seems like I heard somewhere that a lot of them just get taped up and thrown in against the engine case. Worth checking...

Interesting! His is taped up and thrown against the engine case. We did check to see if we had a ground on the green wire. But was unaware about the testing the other two wires. Thanks
