Front Trike Tire.

The Avon AV91/92 Tike tire seems to be the recommended front tire for trikes. I need to change the front tire on my 20 DCT Tour/CSC. However, Wingstuff, JP Cycle and my dealer indicate the tire is not available and no one knows when Avon will have it back in stock. I've been told this has been the case for 6-months. It's difficult to get the bike into the shop during the riding season as they are always backed up a few weeks, which is why I want to change the tire this winter. I'm debating going with another tire but not sure which one. Considering the Bridgestone, Dunlop or Metzler. Leaning toward the Metzler Cruise tech tire. Any thoughts???

The Avon Chrome Trike tire has been hard to come by for sure........
The last batch of them showed up in March '22 and I was lucky enough to snatch one up.

There are rumors.......that another batch is coming the end of this month. I heard it from Revzilla when I inquired a couple months ago.....and there have been others hearing the same from other vendors.

I'd recommend hanging tight until the middle of Feb '23 and watching websites.......also sign up for notification of in stock status that most websites have now.
The Avon is worth waiting for IMHO......good luck.

Thank you, Brian. I did start putting my name on several notification lists the first of December. I'm going to wait until the end of March to see if the Avon becomes available before ordering another brand. Thank you again.

I read today that the Avon TRIKE tire is coming back very soon on the Gl1800 forum.
