On the way but now I need help. A left foot peg!!!!
Coming coming from California I decided to leave on Monday and do a saddle sore 1000 for my first day. Newcastle California to Wilcox Arizona would be just over a thousand miles.
With 200 miles to go and 30 miles from Gila Bend it happened. Just overtaking a semi and his rear tire blew with a noise like a shotgun blast. A huge chunk of tire was right in front of me. I served and barely missed it. The big chunk hit my left foot with such force that it ripped my foot back behind me and my foot tore the foot peg of the bike.
I badly need a left foot peg for a 2004 Wing. I have jury rigged something for now.
If anybody might have a stock left peg I will pay a kings ransom if you can bring it to the RTE. Old or new makes no difference. I still expect to be there to camp on Thursday afternoon but so far this morning I still can't get my boot on my swollen foot.
