Apple CarPlay with new iOS 16

Has anyone used Apple CarPlay with new iOS16 on their 2018 or above GL1833? If so what has been your observations. One thing about the new Apple Maps is that you can now have multiple stops. I prefer the Apple Maps to the default navigation system.

I have.....don't notice too much difference. Not a fan of the built in Navigation either, just too cumbersome and limiting.
I recently tried a subscription to INRoute to plan trips and use its APP navigation......works real well and is very easy to use.
Easy to skip way points or jump to another waypoint on the fly.

Time will tell if I continue to use it long term.

what is a good comm device to use, I just picked up a 2021 GL1800B and was shocked to see that I can use apple CarPlay without a headset. Recommendations and tips will be appreciated.

I travel all over North America using only Apple Maps. I love it. It bluetooths directly into the Sena headset in my Nanotechnology II helmet. I use nothing else.

I have and haven't noticed any differences. I just went on a 2300 mile trip with no issues. If anything, I'd have to say I had less issues with connecting.

I generally use google maps. Unfortunately, if you plot a number of stops, it will not advance to stop #2 when you arrive at stop #1 without manually advancing to the next stop. I wish I could find a fix for that.

I use ACP all the time time. Apple Maps for voice commanded short notice POIs and point to point. The back ground maps are available when you don't have cell service Scenic for detailed routing and route recording. Also use Relive and Rever for route recording. Google Maps has some quirks and occasionally hangs up the whole phone. I try to avoid Google Maps and Waze (also google) because of the higher data usage and much higher information collection
